Fall 2023 Luncheon Program
Judy Guise our L-Pec chair invited Pa Representative Steven Malagari from Montgomery County representing the house and Pa State Senator Frank Farry to participate in a legislative forum. They both presented information of interest to retirees as well as addressing the continuing efforts to pass a COLA bill.

Representative Steven Malagari represents House District 53 including Lansdale and the surrounding townships of Eastern Montgomery County. He is chair of the Consumer Protection, Technology and Utilities subcommittee as well as member of the Appropriations, Liquor Control, and Professional Licensure Committees. In February, he introduced a memorandum concerning COLA for PSERS and SERS annuitants.
He is a graduate of North Penn High School and Ursinus College. Prior to his election in 2019, he was Sales Manager for Penn Beer.
Senator Frank A. Farry was elected to the Senate of Pennsylvania in November 2022 to represent the 6th Senate District in Bucks County. Prior to his election as Senator, he served in the House of Representatives for seven terms. While there Farry advanced legislation expanding the income eligibility limits for the PACENET prescription drug assistance program for seniors and preventing minors from the dangers of indoor tanning. Senator Farry has been appointed chair of the Urban Affairs and Housing committee, vice chair of the Consumer Protection and Licensure committee, and is a member of the Appropriations, Communications and Technology, Community, Economic, and Recreational Development, Health and Human Services, and Law and Justice Committees.
He is a graduate of Neshaminy High School, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Law Degree from Rutgers University. Prior to his election to the House; he served as Middletown Township Manager and remains a member of the Middletown Fire Department.
