Presentation of John Dillon Award
The John J. Dillon PASR Service Award, which began in 2004, provides the opportunity for chapters to recognize individuals that have given service to the Association. Dr. John J. Dillon was a past president of the Association who was a consummate PASR volunteer. He held a record thirty-eight positions in PASR, ranging from the local to the state level. This fall our chapter presented this award to John Worthington. John was co-president of the Montgomery County Chapter for many years and currently is actively working with schools in Montgomery County to select students who qualify for PASR education support scholarships.
PASR Outstanding Volunteer Award
The PASR Outstanding Volunteer Award is given to recognize someone who has shown a commitment to serving others in the community. The Bucks Mont Chapter selected Marlene Flor for this award in 2024. Marlene is a member of the American Sewing Guild. Members of this organization work together to sew clothes, blankets, pillowcases, quilts for hospital patients, the Baby Bureau and many other organizations. In addition, she uses her sewing skills to help others through many outreach programs at her church and the community.
